Pastured Poultry
My chickens are kept on pasture, via lightweight chicken tractors and are fed an organic, locally grown, no corn, no soy, no GMO feed, which makes for a firmer meat, and tastier flavor. Studies have shown that pasture-based chicken has higher levels of Omega-3 fatty acids in it, and also has no traces of arsenic within the meat, unlike its conventionally grown counterpart. So you can rest assured that you will be buying a clean, healthy product from me!
Each dressed chicken will average a weight of 4-5 lbs. and is $3.50 per lb. Not bad for organic, locally grown chicken!
Turkeys:
I am also offer Holiday turkeys! These are Broad Breasted Whites, which I grow out to 5-6 months; resulting in a 15-20 lb. bird (I shoot for a 15 pounder). The turkeys are $4 per lb. Like the chickens, my turkeys are kept on pasture, and fed organic grains. The difference between these birds and the store bought ones is amazing!
